DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) is a wireless technology that allows you to share files with various devices and appliances. For example, you must print a photo from your smartphone to your printer. You can do it wirelessly if your printer supports the DLNA option. The same can be said about connecting your phone to a TV, computer, or tablet.
The transmitting device, in this case, is a server, and the receiving device is a client. DLNA connection is created by adding the necessary devices into a single network, and you can use both wired connection (Ethernet) and Wi-Fi for this.
It is worth mentioning that this technology only allows the exchange of multimedia files. From the disadvantages, we can highlight possible failures when playing heavy video files and problems with the connection. But even so, DLNA is a convenient option for many users.
