Li-Polymer

Li-Polymer (lithium polymer battery) is a special battery manufacturing technology based on polymers. That is why such batteries can be of any shape and thickness. Due to the solid internal filling, lithium polymer batteries have a high level of safety. The probability of accidental ignition is very low.

Lithium polymer batteries have a low electrical conductivity, which makes it necessary to heat the battery to increase it. This is not possible in all cases, for example, when the battery does not have a built-in controller. Because of this, the most primitive batteries can take quite a long time to charge.

The main disadvantage of Li-Polymer batteries is that they fail when they are fully discharged. Also, they are not designed to work in low temperatures. Manufacturers add gel electrolytes to such batteries, eliminating most disadvantages. But these are other batteries, called lithium-ion polymer batteries.
