ECG

Electrocardiography (ECG) is a technology for determining the quality of heart function. This feature is present in some wearable devices and does the job quite well. It is designed to detect any cardiac abnormalities and alert the user.

The principle of the option is to detect blood flow and determine the result based on the data obtained. This is done by means of blinking LEDs placed on the back of the capsule. Their light penetrates under the skin, is reflected by the blood flow, and is recorded by the sensors. Immediately after performing the above manipulations, the device automatically calculates the heart rate. A heart rate monitor works on the same principle, but the ECG has some differences from the more simplified technology.

Electrocardiography records minor electrical signals based on heartbeat data. It does not require special sensors to be attached to the body. Users only need to put their finger on the desired area on the body of the device and wait for the results.
