Megapixel

A megapixel is one million pixels. Such a designation is most often found in camera specifications. Many people pay attention to the number of megapixels in the camera when choosing a smartphone. This is not at all an indicator of the quality of future pictures. Here is a simple example. Modern smartphones have an average screen resolution of 1080 by 2340 pixels. By multiplying these two values, we get 2.5 million, which is 2.5 megapixels. Based on this, we can conclude that comfortable video communication will be enough cameras with this characteristic.

However, this does not mean that you can ignore the megapixels. If the future picture should be printed on a printer, the more the value of megapixels in the camera, the higher the clarity will be in the image on paper. This also applies to the zoom of the photo. If the future photo needs to zoom in, the number of megapixels will also play an important role. In general, megapixels are not as important as, for example, sensor size and ISO range.
