PPI

PPI is the unit of measurement for the resolution of a smartphone screen. It is needed to indicate the resolution value in the case of graphics input and output. It measures the number of pixels per inch of surface area.

A large number of pixels indicates good-quality graphics. This makes them smaller and less visible to the human eye. In addition, the more PPI per inch, the clearer and more realistic the image will be displayed.

Today, even the simplest and cheapest smartphone models can boast good pixel density. The minimum value reaches 220 ppi, while the flagships can go up to 642 ppi. And the record figure for 2021 is 806 ppi.
