RAM

RAM (Random Access Memory) is a relatively fast and volatile memory that stores temporary application and system data in machine code. The concept is quite complex, but if we explain it in simple terms, RAM is a type of memory that stores information about the processes that are running right now.

You’ve probably noticed that your device runs slower when you run many applications. This is because the memory is processing a large number of processes going on at the moment. If RAM is low, your smartphone or computer runs slowly in complex programs.

Since RAM is a volatile memory, all programs and services are closed after the smartphone is turned off. If you need to know how much RAM is installed in your phone, you can turn to the application CPU-Z. Just download the utility from Google Play, and then go to the tab “Device”.

This is where the “Total RAM” item specifies the amount of RAM installed. A similar program, by the way, is also available for computers.
