TalkBack is a special app installed on your phone by default. It is designed for people with severe visual impairments. The virtual assistant automatically speaks out for every action the user takes, whether raising the volume or tapping an item on the screen. The voice assistant can also voice the text written on the screen. All you need to do is to put a special cursor on it. You can activate this control mode in the settings of the Xiaomi smartphone:
- Go to “Advanced settings“.
- Go to the “Special Features” menu.
- Select “TalkBack“.
- Move the slider to the right next to the “Enable feature” line.
A brief instruction with voice guidance will immediately appear on the screen. You can also go to the option settings and configure it in detail. In addition to simply sounding out the text, the application reports detailed information about the incoming call. That is, it calls the phone number or name of the contact. The function is interesting, but only if you look at it from the outside. It is better never to face the need to activate it but to know it is there.
