If we are talking about a separate device, a SIM card is installed to distribute the Internet. After that, certain settings are made, which will differ depending on the device. As for the smartphone, to enable the option “USB modem” you need to follow this path: “Settings” → “Advanced functions” → “USB modem”.
Also do not forget to turn on the mobile Internet, because without it the option will not work.
