How to Unlink MI Account From Xiaomi Phone Correctly

Mi account has huge popularity among Xiaomi owners, as it is a convenient storage and protection of the smartphone in case of loss/theft. But still, there are situations when the smartphone no longer needs an account. Unfortunately, not all users know how to correctly unlink the Mi account from the Xiaomi phone so as not to delete it completely and, in a pinch, restore access. 1. Go to i.mi.com, and log in to your Xiaomi account.
2. Now in the upper right corner, look for your account ID or name and avatar.
3. Click on the contact icon (or avatar), and the menu appears.
4. In the menu, click on “Account”.
5. The system redirects us from i.mi.com to account.xiaomi.com.

Resetting settings

After a reset, the first time you connect your phone to the network (i.e., during initial setup), you will be prompted to enter the password for the Mi account associated with this device.

1. Before starting the operation, you need to save important data on internal memory or a memory card. It is best to use selective backups. After backup, files are transferred to the SD card or computer.
2. Now go to TWRP. You need to unlock the bootloader and put the custom recovers if it is not installed.
