Rollback

Rollback is a way to return your smartphone or computer to the original state that it was in before you updated or installed a program. Usually, you need to do this after a failed firmwares procedure. For example, the new shell is not yet optimized for modern applications.

Also, the rollback is often performed after installing a new version of the operating system. This is especially true for older devices. That is formally a more modern and convenient system. However, the power and resources of the smartphone are not enough for its correct operation. Examples can be given quite a lot more. But let’s briefly consider how you can return a previous version of the OS or firmware to the phone.

If we take Xiaomi smartphones as an example, it is possible to rollback to the old version of the firmware MIUI by simply resetting the device to factory settings. But there is a nuance – this method works not always work and is not for everyone, especially if the current shell has been installed on the phone for a long time.

There are other rollback options, such as using Mi Flash or TWRP Recovery. However, each method will require a computer with the necessary application. In principle, the procedure is simple. But it is better to read the instructions for your smartphone model before starting.
