ROM

ROM (permanent memory, read-only memory) allows you to store files, programs, and other documents on your smartphone or computer. Simply put, it’s where all your folders, files, system data, and other information are stored. For example, you’ve downloaded a picture of something. If your phone doesn’t have an SD card, the file will be saved to the internal memory, ROM.

It is not difficult to guess that the greater the amount of internal memory, the better and more convenient for the user. However, the place on the phone can be expanded by an additional storage medium – an SD card. Modern smartphones allow you to install memory cards of up to 512 GB, but again, it all depends on the specific model of the device. To find out the amount of ROM installed in the phone, you can use the application CPU-Z.

Go to the tab “Device” and pay attention to the “Available Storage” line. But you should understand that the actual amount of available memory will differ from the manufacturer’s claims (about 10 gigabytes is taken by the Android OS itself).
